Collé Rental & Sales offers an assortment for hire of 20,000 professional machines in the construction and heavy industry and has grown into one of the most essential players in the Benelux, Germany, and far beyond.

Forbye, Collé Rental & Sales makes sure that their clients receive top-grade service by offering customized solutions and giving expert advice on which machines are best suited for different projects. Collé offers their clients to receive maintenance, inspections, training courses, insurance, and 24-hour repair service for their rental machines.
While assessing their internal processes and flows linked to inspection, maintenance, and rental of these machines, Collé saw the substantial potential for improvement in terms of:
- Efficiency: streamlining the inspection process between actors involved
- Visibility: providing the required information (e.g. inspection reports) to the corresponding actor in the process at any given time
The solution
Upon discussion with the Collé team, it became clear that attaching a Twintag QR - a “twintag” - to each machine, would allow mediating relevant interactions about that machine between the different personas and organizations involved, starting with the various inspection specialists Collé works with.
Twintag implemented a Service Enablement solution that covered the following functionalities:
- Presentation of both generalized and hyper-relevant machine information to its user - first and foremost inspection reports
- Help connect the machine user with the Collé support channel
- The web app which is running seamlessly on mobile, tablet, and desktop and will show a responsive UI to the end user
- Easy onboarding of twintags via scanning of identifier numbers from the asset itself using Optical Character Recognition
- Multilingual experience

Consumer data is stored safely in one place (language, geo, type of product in possession, twintag scans, and sharing). Service Enablement solution brought more efficiency in streamlining the inspection process between the actors involved as well as visibility by providing the required information to the corresponding actor in the process at any given time. By scanning twintags, users of the Collé Rental & Sales machines received access to hyper-relevant machine information accessible via the single-page responsive web app.
In the first 5 months of the solution rollout, Collé onboarded 2481 assets which were scanned 6000 times in different countries.
In the future, Collé Rental & Sales is planning to implement Twintag QRs on every asset and upgrade them with other functionalities such as self-service portals where customers will be able to make maintenance appointments.
