Vinçotte (a member of Kiwa group) offers objective and advisory services in inspection, certification, conformity assessment and training. With more than 2000-strong team of professionals, Vinçotte is striving every day to create a safer and more efficient society in the building, manufacturing & logistics, energy & process, food certification and radiation protection industries. With more than 60,000 customers Vinçotte is the leading TIC (Testing Inspection Certification Industry) player in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Currently, Vinçotte is reinventing itself in the context of emerging digital space and transforming into a data company in order to create a wonderful end-to-end experience for customers. To do so, Vinçotte is transforming and automating workflows that would provide direct efficiency gains and allow a more transparent way of communicating safety information linked to asset management.
The solution
To enable Vinçotte’s transformation at speed, Twintag developed the Digi-Tags® solution. Unique QR-code was placed on each (inspected) asset to pull together essential safety information :
- basic asset info and inspection status
- safety files such as manuals, photos, risk analyses, regulation and certificates
- maintenance information
- possibility to schedule tasks for internal follow-ups
- inspection flows
Each twintag grants access to asset-specific information that varies depending on persona scanning it.

The Twintag Platform is designed and built to gather and analyze data at scale, ensuring that billions of UIDs can be managed at once. Any type of product/packaging hierarchies can be managed in the Twintag Admin Portal allowing companies to scale whenever they are ready.
Consumer data is stored safely in one place (language, geo, type of product in possession, twintag scans, and sharing). Irrespective of the location, connected products provide companies with product-relevant data and new insights into consumer behavior, preferences, and interactions. With improved aggregation of consumer data, companies can adapt their marketing strategies and identify business opportunities across industries.

By incorporating Twintag’s Service Enablement solution, all the required information about the asset is now available 24/7. Furthermore, the solution enabled Vinçotte to:
- improve safety and productivity levels
- enhance customer experience
- improve customer retention by allowing clients to do the follow-ups in a more easy and efficient manner
Currently, Twintag is one of the strategic partners of Vinçotte and together they were nominated for Bizon Award and named Digital Pioneers by Trends.
Overall, more than 120 clients are using Digi-Tags and more than 200.000 assets are being actively consulted out of 1.117.163 existing in the system. By implementing twintags, Vinçotte experienced more than 10% efficiency gain and onboarded twice the amount of clients since last year.
In the future, Vinçotte plans to move towards asset safety management tooling and create new capabilities for clients to manage their overall asset portfolio and not only the ones inspected by Vinçotte. They are currently expanding this solution internationally, giving an opportunity to deliver the same benefits to colleagues abroad.
