The project
The customer
Luminus is a leading energy provider offering a comprehensive range of energy-saving products and services. They provide tailored solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles, both for residential and commercial use. Their offerings include installing solar panels, heat pumps, batteries, and charging stations, as well as maintenance and repair services for various energy systems.
Challenges
Luminus encountered two significant challenges in managing its charging point infrastructure and fleet operations.
First, during or after the installation of a charging point, there is the potential for it to become damaged or de-installed. Different Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes apply depending on the warranty, requiring the seamless exchange of critical information among multiple partners. Additionally, maintaining visibility over the location of each cable is essential for tracking existing stock.
The second challenge involved fleet management, where fleet managers needed to reallocate charging cables from one employee to another. This process involved a partner collecting the cables, testing them, refurbishing if necessary, and sending them to the new user. This reallocation required coordination among various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
