The customer

R-Cycle is a consortium dedicated to improving the recyclability of plastic packaging by creating an open, globally applicable tracing standard. This system assigns each plastic product a digital passport containing detailed information about its material composition and processing history.

By standardizing data collection and sharing across the entire value chain, R-Cycle enables more accurate sorting and processing of plastics, supports compliance with recycling regulations, and promotes a circular economy, ultimately reducing waste and environmental impact.

We achieved several key milestones with Twintag-powered QR codes on plastic bags and printed films. We showcased information specific to each production stage of the packaging, ensured smooth data tracking during the printing process, facilitated the identification of packaging for recycling, and aligned with the open tracing standard.

Get started as easy as 1, 2, 3

Packaging artwork is preprinted with a designated blank space for a QR code.

Unique Twintags are generated and linked to each production batch, with batch data automatically collected from the R-Cycle database using APIs.

During production, unique Twintag QR codes are digitally printed into the designated blank space.
